ROTARY CLUB OF THE CALDWELLS AND REV. RON CHRISTIAN
TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR HAITI EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

West Caldwell, NJ - Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. (third
from left) presented a proclamation to the Rotary Club of the Caldwells
President Kevin Hersh (left) on Thursday, February 18th to recognize the
club's extraordinary humanitarian efforts to aid victims of the earthquake
in Haiti. Since the natural disaster occurred on January 12th, the Rotary
Club of the Caldwells has collected and shipped approximately eight (8) tons
of food, clothing and medical supplies to Haiti. In addition, the Rotary
Club also announced it was donating 96,000 pairs of non-surgical rubber
gloves to Christian Love Baptist Church from Irvington. The church will send
the gloves to its mission in Haiti and use them when distributing food to
earthquake victims. With the County Executive are Rev. Ron Christian (second
from left) from Christian Love Baptist Church and Dean Konner, General Manager of Konner Chevrolet.
