Event Details: The Every Wednesday Matinee (June 6, 13, 20, & 27) at 2pm

Main Library Auditorium, Montclair Public Library, 50 S. Fullerton Ave.

On Wednesdays at 2 pm, Montclair Public Library hosts The Every Wednesday Matinee, a classic film series presented in its auditorium. In May 2018, Father’s Day movies will be shown. The movies are as follows:

· June 6: Father of the Bride – Starring: Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor. The father of a young woman deals with the emotional pain of her getting married, along with the financial and organizational trouble of arranging the wedding. (1950, 92 minutes, black & white).

· June 13: Father’s little dividend – Starring: Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor. In this sequel to Father of the Bride (1950), newly married Kay Dunstan announces that she and her husband are going to have a baby, leaving her father having to come to grips with the fact that he will soon be a granddad. (1951, 82 minutes, color).

· June 20: Life with Father – Starring: William Powell, Irene Dunne, Elizabeth Taylor. A story about a financier from New York, Clarence Day, who wants to be master of his house, but finds his wife and his children ignoring him until they start making demands for him to change his own life. (1947, 118 minutes, black & white).

· June 27: The Courtship of Eddie's Father– Starring: Glenn Ford, Ron Howard, Shirley Jones. Eddie thinks it is time for his father to remarry. However, in his opinion his father's taste in women leaves much to be desired. He believes the girl next door would be a far better choice.. (1963, 118 minutes, color).
