Don't miss an opportunity to have your child study with the legendary GM Joel Benjamin.

Just consider this...Joel was the first to break Bobby Fisher's record for youngest master in 1977, and has won national titles at every scholastic level, as well as the U.S. Junior Championship. Earning the IM title at 14 and GM at 27, he was among the youngest to do so in the world at the time.

An author of chess books, and U.S. Chess Hall of Fame inductee, Benjamin has won three U.S. Championships and played in six Olympiads as well as many medal winning teams, including the 1993 and 1997 World Team (gold and silver, respectively), and the 1990 and 1996 Olympiad (silver and bronze, respectively). Most recently he was part of the gold medal U.S. team in the 2018 World Senior Team Championship. Benjamin has won individual gold in the World Youth Team, World Team, and World Senior Team.

GM Benjamin currently teaches privately, coaches the Columbia Grammar chess team, and makes videos for the Internet Chess Club. Among his most famous students are 17-year-old grandmaster John Michael Burke and 15-year-old International master Brandon Jacobson.

Sponsored by International Chess Academy (www.icanj.net.) Classes are every Thursday afternoon: April 4 -- June 6, 2019. Location: L3 Academy, 1 Greenwood Ave. #101, Montclair, NJ 07042
