The rail service is the Montclair – Boonton line, and goes from New York City through Hoboken and to Hackettstown. In Montclair there are 7 train stations: Bay Street, Walnut Street, Upper Montclair, Mountain Avenue, Montclair Heights, Watchung Avenue and Montclair State University. Currently, although there are plans to construct a billion dollar plus tunnel connecting New Jersey to Manhattan in 5 years, there are no weekend trains available for travel between the two points.

The information you need in planning your trip to the city, or other points, is available at the New Jersey Transit link to your right.

By air, your closest airport is 13 miles away, at Newark Liberty International Airport. However, both JFK Airport (42 miles) and LaGuardia (31 miles) are easily accessible by car.
